could tell you stories… stories that, if you have a heart, would break it. In fact it is that very idea, “things that break the heart of God,” that World Vision was founded upon.
Did you know that 29,000 innocent children are dying somewhere in the world every single day? That’s 1 child every 3 seconds. Yes, that’s right. Every day, thousands upon thousands of innocent children under the age of 12 years of age are dying of hunger or a hunger-related disease. And to make matters worse, millions of children are also orphans today, due to the fact that AIDS and HIV-related diseases are killing their parents. I’ve met some of these orphans in my travels to Uganda, Lesotho, India, The Domincan Republic, Peru and El Salvador. (I encourage you to watch the short video on this page for a glimpse of what I experienced in Uganda.)
Master’s Image Productions is proud to be associated with World Vision, a Christian relief organization that is committed to meeting the practical, everyday needs of children all over the world. Through World Vision, you can sponsor a child for a little over a $1 a day. Think if it as the price of a cup of coffee a day (or a quarter of a cup, if you go to Starbucks!). Through your sponsorship a child can have things we take for granted, like food, clean water, clothing, medical care and education. And since 85% of every dollar you donate to World Vision actually goes to the ministry effort itself, you can be assured that your contribution is being put to its highest and best use. I have seen World Vision in action around the world and you have my word that they do what they say they are going to do! And most importantly, because of your help, these children will have a chance to learn about the love of Jesus Christ.
Sponsorship is amazing; not only will your donation help meet that child’s basic survival needs, you will be providing HOPE that so many of these children don’t currently have. They will know that you chose them, and you can begin a relationship with them.
In the time it’s taken you to read this, about 50 children have died. You may not be able to save them all, but you can make a difference in the life of 1 child. Don’t wait one more day to put an end to world hunger for that child you choose to sponsor! It will change their life for certain… and don’t be surprised if it changes yours as well!
